Shelly's Recipe

BEEFY BOURBON CHILI

2 lbs ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 stalk celery, diced
1 (19 oz) can whole tomatoes
1 (14 oz) can kidney beans
2-3 tbsp chili pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
10 oz tomato juice
2 oz bourbon
Salt and pepper to taste
2 (5 oz) cans tomato puree or sauce

In a large pan, brown beef. Pour off fat. Add garlic, onions, pepper, and celery. Saute lightly. Add remaining ingredients and simmer gently about one hour. Serves 6-8
