BLUEBERRY BREAD

2 1/2 cups flour
3/4 cup sugar
1 tbsp baking powder
Dash salt
1 tsp cinnamon
6 tbsp butter
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cups fresh blueberries
1/2 cup of walnuts chopped
Into a large mixing bowl, put the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. With a pastry blender or two forks, cut in the butter. When mixture resembles fine crumbs, add eggs, milk and vanilla. Stir gently just until moistened. DO NOT USE MIXER. Gently stir in the blueberries and nuts, spoon into greased and floured loaf pan. Bake at 350 for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until done.
NOTE: One pint of blueberries makes two breads. It is easy to double this recipe to make two bread and they freeze well.
