GIANT SNICKERDOODLES

1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup butter, softened
2 eggs
2 3/4 cups flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp cinnamon
2 tbsp sugar

Cream butter, 2 1/2 cups sugar and eggs until light and fluffy. Combine flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt in separate bowl. Add to creamed mixture until well blended. Refrigerate 30 minutes.

Preheat oven to 375. Combine remaining sugar and cinnamon, making sugar and cinnamon mix. Roll cookie dough in hands and in cinnamon-sugar mix. Place 3 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 12 to 15 minutes.
