CHUNKY TEX-MEX CHILI - Crock pot

3 lbs beef stew meat
1 tbsp oil
3 clove garlic, minced
3 (16 oz) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
3 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
1 (14 1/2 oz) can diced tomatoes, drained
1 cup water
1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
3/4 cup salsa verde
1 envelope chili seasoning
2 tsp dried minced onion
1 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes, ground cumin and cayenne pepper
shredded sharp cheddar cheese and minced cilantro, garnish

In a skillet, brown beef in oil in batches. Add garlic, cook and stir for 1 minute. Transfer to the crock pot. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on LOW for 6-8hours or until meat is tender. Garnish with cheese and cilantro.
