COCOA KISS COOKIES

1 cup butter, softened
2/3 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 2/3 cup flour
1/4 cup cocoa
1 cup finely chopped pecans
1 (9 oz) bag chocolate kisses
Powdered sugar

Cream together first 3 ingredients until light and fluffy. Add dry ingredients and beat until blended. Add nuts; stir to combine. Refrigerate dough 1 hour or until firm enough to handle.

Preheat oven to 350. Remove kiss wrappers Mound scant tbsp of dough around kiss, covering completely. Shape into balls. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes or until set. Cool slightly, about 1 minute, before removing to wire rack to cool. Roll in powdered sugar. Roll in sugar again before serving.
