ROCKY ROAD-PEANUT BUTTER SQUARES

3/4 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup peanut butter
6 cup Triples cereal
2 cup miniature marshmallows
1/2 cup coarsely chopped peanuts
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 tbsp shortening

Heat syrup and sugar to boiling in heavy 2 quart saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly. Immediately remove from heat; stir in peanut butter until melted. Place cereal in large bowl. Pour peanut butter mixture over cereal, stirring until well coated.

Cool 2 minutes. Stir in marshmallows. Press mixture in ungreased rectangular pan, 13x9 inches. Sprinkles with peanuts. Heat chocolate and shortening over low heat until melted; drizzle.
