Shelly's Recipe

*MOUNTAIN DEW SALAD*

1 (3 oz pkg) EACH lemon gelatin and orange pineapple gelatin
2 cup boiling water
1 1/2 cup Mountain Dew
1 (20 oz) can crushed pineapple
1 cup mini marshmallows
2 bananas; sliced
1/2 cup sugar
2 tbsp cornstarch
1 egg; beaten
2 tbsp butter
1 (8 oz) container whipped topping

Dissolve both box of gelatins in hot water in a 13x9 inch pan. Add the mountain dew. Drain the crushed pineapple, reserving 1 cup of juice. Add the pineapple to the gelatin. Add the marshmallows and sliced bananas. Put in fridge to thicken.

Mix the sugar, cornstarch, beaten egg, butter and pineapple juice in a saucepan. Cook until thick, stirring constantly. Remove the pan from the heat and cool completely. Add the whipped topping and spread over set Jell-O.
