PORK CHOPS WITH ONIONS

6 pork chops
2 tsp oil
1 onion, peeled and sliced
1 (10 1/2 oz) can beef broth
1/4 tsp thyme
1/8 tsp pepper
1 tbsp flour
2 tbsp water

Heat oil in a skillet; add pork chops and slowly brown on both sides. Push chops to one side and sauté onion. Arrange onion over pork chops. Add broth, thyme and pepper. Cover and simmer slowly for 1 hour. Remove chops and onions to warm platter. Combine flour, water and thicken pan juices. Serve over chops. Serves 6
