FIRECRACKER SHRIMP

1/4 cup dark brown sugar and chopped onion
3-4 clove garlic, finely minced
1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup water and ketchup
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2-3 tsp red chili sauce, or to taste
Dash cayenne
36 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
Set oven to broil and line broiling pan with foil. Combine first 9 ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Thread 2 shrimp on mini skewers piercing on top and the tail so they lay flat. Brush with barbecue sauce over shrimp and broil 1-2 minutes on each or until cooked through. Brush with more sauce and serve. Makes 18
