BARBECUED RIBS

6 lb country-style pork ribs
1 large onion, sliced
1 lemon, thinly sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp butter, melted
1 1/2 cups water
1 cup ketchup
3/4 cup chili sauce
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 tbsp celery seeds
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce and prepared mustard
2 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp liquid smoke and hot sauce

Place ribs in a large roasting pan. Cover and bake at 450 for 45 minutes; drain. Top ribs with onion and lemon. Saute garlic in butter until tender in a saucepan. Add water and remaining 11 ingredients. Bring to a boil; remove from heat, and pour over ribs. Bake, uncovered, at 350 for 1 hour, basting often. Serves 6
