CHEESY ONION PIE

1 1/4 cups crackers, finely crushed
6 tbsp butter, melted
4 slices bacon
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped green pepper
1 1/2 cups half and half
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp paprika
2 cups grated Swiss cheese

Blend cracker crumbs and butter. Press mixture evenly against bottom and sides of 9 inch pie plate, leaving 1/4 inch rim standing around edge of plate.

In skillet, cook bacon, remove and crumble. In drippings, cook onion and green pepper until tender, stir often. Spread over bottom crust.

Blend half and half, eggs, salt, paprika, cheese and bacon. Pour into prepared shell. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Serve warm.
