CHOCOLATE AMARETTO CHEESECAKE IV

1 1/2 cups chocolate wafer crumbs
1/3 cup heavy cream
2 cups blanched almonds, toasted and chopped, divided
1/2 cup amaretto
2 tsp vanilla
1/3 cup sugar
4 eggs
6 tbsp butter, softened
2 cups sour cream
3 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
1 tbsp sugar
1 cup sugar
Preheat oven to 375. Combine crumbs, 1 cups almonds, sugar and butter. Pat mixture on bottom and sides of a 10 inch springform pan.
Beat cream cheese, sugar heavy cream, liqueur and 1 tsp vanilla until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Beat until light. Pour over crust in pan. Bake for 1 1/2 hours or until top of cake crack and knife inserted in middle comes out clean. Let stand 5 minutes.
Combine sour cream, 1 tsp vanilla and sugar. Mix well and spread evenly over cake. Bake 5 minutes longer. Place on a wire rack to cool completely. Cover lightly with wax paper and let chill overnight.
When ready to serve, remove sides of pan and garnish with toasted almonds around outer edge and on top of cake.
