CRANBERRY DESSERT

1 pkg fresh cranberries
2 small boxes cherry Jello
2 cups sugar
1 can crushed pineapple
1 cup chopped nuts (optional we use pecans or walnuts)
1 cup water (or just enough to cover cranberries in saucepan)

Rinse cranberries, put in saucepan. Cover with water (just barely cover) cook on med heat until they pop like popcorn) turn off heat. Add sugar and Jell-o mixes mix well add in pineapple mix well add nuts if desired. mix well and pour into a dish refrigerate. if you use a clear glass dish it is prettiest. keep refrigerated till set.

Topping
2 small cartons of heavy whipping cream
2 (3oz) pkg cream cheese softened cut into cubes
6 cups of mini marshmallows
1/2 cup sugar

Put marshmallows into chilled dish add in softened cream cheese pour heavy whipping cream over it all. mix on high until whip cream starts to form. Add sugar beat a little bit more. Store in fridge till Jello mixture is set in other dish. Then spread topping on like frosting.
