OVEN BARBECUED STEAK

3 lbs beef sirloin steak, 3/4 inch thick
2 tbsp oil
3 tbsp instant chopped onion
3/4 cup ketchup and water
1/2 cup vinegar
1 tbsp packed brown sugar, prepared mustard and Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper

Cut steak into serving pieces and brown in skillet in hot oil. Remove to a dtuch oven. Add remaining ingredients to skillet; simmer for 5 minutes and then pour over meat. Cover and bake for 2 hours or until meat is tender.
