SWEET-SOUR SLAW

1 lb green cabbage (about half a medium cabbage)
1 large carrot, peeled, chopped or grated
1 small white onion, chopped or grated
1/2 green or red bell pepper, chopped or grated
Optional: 3 radishes, red or white, hot if you like
Optional: 1 small jalapeño if you like it hot
Dressing
1 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp mustard powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp celery seeds (not celery salt)
2 tbsp vegetable oil (corn oil or salad oil mix are good choices)
1/4 cup distilled white vinegar (not cider vinegar)
In a bowl large, whisk together dressing ingredients.
Add the cabbage, carrots, and onions to the bowl with the dressing. Cover and chill for at least 1 hour. Stir occasionally and taste for additional seasonings, if needed. When ready to serve, mix thoroughly and scoop from the bottom so the veggies have dressing on them.
