CREAM CHEESE RANCH POTATOES

8 baking potatoes, peeled and quartered
1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
1 (1 oz) pkg dry ranch-style salad dressing
1 (8 oz) container sour cream
1/2 cup butter, softened

Boil potatoes until tender. Drain and mash or cut into cubes and brown them under the broiler for a few minutes. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and salad dressing until smooth. Stir in potatoes, sour cream, and butter; beat to desired consistency. Serves 8
