Shelly's Recipe

SWEET TENNESSEE BARBECUE SAUCE

2 cups ketchup
1/2 cup brown sugar
6 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp vinegar
3 tbsp molasses
1 tsp liquid smoke
2 tsp dry mustard (or 1 tbsp prepared mustard)
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp black pepper

Combine all in a saucepan and bring to a boil while stirring. Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes while stirring. Serve at room temperature.

Makes about 2-1/2 cups. Keep left over in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
