SNOWBALL SURPRISES

1 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
2 cups sifted flour
1 cup finely chopped walnuts
8 oz chocolate kisses
Powdered sugar, for dusting

Cream butter and sugar. Add flour and then nuts. Gather dough into a dish and wrap in plastic. Refrigerate at least 30 minutes.

Preheat oven to 350. Remove foil from candy and insert 1 inside a ball of dough 1inch in diameter. Make sure each kiss is completely covered by dough. Bake on an ungreased baking sheet for 12 minutes, until just cooked through. Roll in powdered sugar while still warm. (May need to roll more than once.)
