NUTTY PECAN BARS

10 tbsp butter, divided
1 cup flour
3/4 cup sugar, divided
2 eggs
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup pecans, coarsely chopped

Preheat oven to 350. Blend 8 tbsp butter, flour and 1/4 cups sugar in a bowl and cut mixture with a pastry cutter until crumbly. Press firmly onto a 13x9 inch baking pan and bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned

Melt remaining butter. Beat in eggs, corn syrup, melted butter, remaining sugar and vanilla extract. Stir in pecans. Pour mixture into prepared crust and bake for 25 minutes or until filling is set. Cool completely in pan. Cut into bars.
