MAKE AHEAD CHICKEN CASSEROLE

2 cups cooked chicken, cut into 1/2 inch cubes
1 (9 oz) pkg frozen mixed vegetables, thawed and drained
2 cups uncooked macaroni
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 can cream of mushroom soup
2 cups water
1 cup milk
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning or basil
1 cup cornflake crumbs
3 tbsp butter, melted

In a bowl, combine ingredients except crumbs and butter. Place in a greased 9 inch square baking pan and cover tightly with foil. Refrigerate 6 to 8 hours or overnight.

About 1 hour before serving, preheat oven to 350. Combine crumbs and butter. Stir the chicken mixture; then sprinkle with crumb topping evenly over the top. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, until golden brown. Serves 4
