Lemon Monkey Bread

3 cans buttermilk biscuits
½ cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup sliced almonds
zest of 2 lemons
¾ cup granulated sugar
4 tablespoons butter, room temperature
2 eggs
juice of 2 lemons (1/2 cup)
pinch of salt
(1) Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 C)
(2) Place ½ cup sugar, almonds and lemon zest in a large bowl. Using scissors, cut each biscuit into 4 pieces. Using your hands, toss in the bowl with the sugar almond mixture.
(3) Cream ¾ cup sugar and butter together. Mix in the eggs, lemon juice and salt. Pour the lemon juice mixture into the bowl. Stir to combine.
(4) Grease a bundt pan. Pour the biscuits into the bundt pan. Bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for 45 minutes.
(5) Remove from the oven. Cool for 5 minutes. Run a knife around the edges of the pan and flip onto a platter. For an added touch, sprinkle with more almonds.
(6) Serve in slices or set it on the table and let people pull it apart.
