SIZZLING MUSHROOMS

4-5 tbsp butter
2 clove garlic, minced
12 oz small button mushrooms, halved
1/4 cup consumme or beef broth
1 tbsp chopped chives

Saute garlic in butter and add mushrooms. Cook, stirring occasionally, about 5 minutes or until mushrooms begin to release their juices and start to brown.

Meanwhile, heat an iron skillet to very hot. Heat consomme in a small saucepan. Pour mushrooms into hot skillet, top with chives. Pour consomme over mushrooms and allow to heat through. Serve directly from skillet.
