SPICED RUM CHOCOLATE CAKE

Cake
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
4 eggs, slightly beaten
1 (16 oz) can chocolate syrup
2 tbsp spiced rum
1 cup flour
Chocolate Rum Glaze
3 oz semi-sweet chocolate
1/2 cup confectioners sugar
2 tbsp butter and water
Pinch salt
2 tbsp spiced rum
Preheat oven to 350. Cream butter and sugar; blend in eggs. Add remaining ingredients and mix until butter is well blended. Pour into a greased 9 inch square baking pan. Bake 55-60 minutes. Check center for firmness. Turn cake onto wire rack. Ice when cool.
Glaze: In a double boil, heat together ingredients except rum. Stir until smooth. Take off heat and blend in rum. Refrigerate until thickened.
