ITALIAN STYLE BEEF STEW - Crock pot

2 lbs lean beef stew meat, cut into 1 inch cubes
3 oz prosciutto, chopped
1 large onion, chopped
2 (14 1/2 oz) cans diced Italian style tomatoes with Italian seasonings
2 (6 oz) cans tomato paste
1 cup dry white wine
1 1/2 tbsp dried basil
3 clove garlic, minced
1 fennel bulb, chopped
1 (15 oz) can cannelloni beans, rinsed and drained
Pinch sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper

In a crock pot, mix together first 9 ingredients. Cover and cook on LOW for 8 1/2 to 9 hours, or until beef is tender but not mushy. Stir in remaining ingredients and cooked until beans are heated through. Serves 6-8
