CHERRY TUNNEL CREAM CAKE

1 prepared angel food cake
1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, room temperature
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1/3 cup lemon juice
1 tsp almond extract
1 can ch-erry pie filling
3-4 cups whipped topping
Additional strawberries, garnish

Cut 1 inch slice crosswise from top of cake and set aside. With a sharp knife, cut around cake 1 inch from center hold and 1 inch from outer edge, leaving cake walls 1 inch thick. Remove from center, leaving 1 inch thick base on bottom of cake. Reserve cake pieces

In a bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy. Beat in sweetened condensed milk until smooth. Stir in lemon juice and extract; mix well. Stir in reserved torn cake pieces. Layer cavity of cake with half the cream cheese mixture, the pie filling and remaining cream cheese mixture. Replace top slice of cake. Chill 3 hours or unitl set. Garnish with whipped topping. Refrigerate leftovers.
