FESTIVE BEAN SPREAD

1 (16 oz) can refried beans
1/2 pint salsa
1 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp garlic powder
16 oz sour cream
1 pkg dried taco seasoning
1 bunch green onions, coarsely chopped
2 medium ripe tomatoes, chopped
2 cups shredded cheddar and Monterey jack cheeses

Bottom layer; Mix together first 4 ingredients and spread on large, flat serving dish as a thin layer.

Middle layer: Mix together sour cream and taco seasoning and spread over bean layer.

Top Layer: sprinkle with cheese, then tomatoes and green onions. Cover with plastic wrap and chill about 1 hour. Serve cold with tortilla chips.
