CANDY BAR COOKIES

1 1/4 cups flour
3/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup chopped, chocolate-covered candy bar pieces (about 1/2 inch size)

Preheat oven to 325. Sift dry ingredients. Set aside. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until fluffy and smooth. Beat in the egg and vanilla; scrape down the sides once during mixing.

Slow add the dry ingredients, mixing just until the flour is incorporated. Gently fold in the candy bar pieces. Drop batter by large tbsp on baking sheets. Bake 15 minute, until top of cookies are light golden.

Reverse baking sheets after 7 minutes to ensure even baking. Book for 1 minute on baking sheet, then remove to a wire rack while still warm.
