MAPLE NUT WHEAT OR WHITE ROLLS

8 frozen whole wheat or white Texas rolls, thawed but still cold
4 tbsp butter, melted
1/2 cup brown sugar
3 tbsp maple flavored syrup
1/4 tsp maple flavored extract
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Cut rolls in half. Combine 2 tbsp butter, brown sugar, syrup and extract. Spread in sprayed 9 x 9 inch baking pan. Sprinkle with nuts. Dip cut rolls in remaining 2 tbsp melted butter and place cut side down on top of nuts. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise until double. Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes. Let stand 30 seconds. Invert onto serving platter. Spoon any mixture left in pan over rolls.
