BROWNIE TRIFLE

2 brownie mixes, made according to pkg directions
2 (16 oz) continuers whipped topping
2 boxes chocolate mousse, , made according to pkg directions
6 (8 oz) bars chocolate toffee bars
1 large chocolate bar for shaving

Freeze chocolate toffee bars and chocolate bar. While brownies are baking make the chocolate mousse and chill in the refrigerator. After baking brownies, cool. After the brownies have cooled, scrape or crush the brownies until they are crumbly. Layer brownies in a trifle bowl, then mousse spreading evenly to cover the brownies. Spread the whipped topping on top of mouse.

Take out the toffee bars and crush them. Sprinkle them over the whipped topping. Continue layering until you finish with a layer of whipped topping. Take the chocolate bar out of the freezer and using a vegetable, peel some chocolate curls from the chocolate bar. Sprinkle the curls on top of the whipped topping. Variation: After each layer of brownies is put into the bowl, sprinkle with coffee liqueur and continue layering.
