CHEESED OYSTERS

1 (16 oz) pkg cheese crackers
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp rubbed oregano
Oil, for deep fat frying
2 eggs
2 tbsp water
1 pint oysters

Crush crackers into fine crumbs and mix with spices and set aside. Beat eggs with water. Dip oysters into eggs and roll in crumbs. Lay on a flat surface at least 30 minutes to set crust. Fry in oil at 375 degrees, until crusty, about 4-5 minutes. Drain on paper towels. Garnish with lemon wedges and dill pickles. Serve with tartar sauce.
