*LAYERED BEEF AND CHEESE SUPPER*

1 1/2 lbs round steak, cut into 1 inch pieces
1 (9 oz) pkg frozen green beans, thawed and drained
1 (8 oz) pkg shredded sharp cheddar cheese
2 cups cooked rice
1/2 cup chopped onion and celery
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 (3 1/2 oz) can French fried onions

Brown steak in oil; drain. Combine green beans, 1 1/2 cups cheese, rice, chopped vegetables and mix lightly. Place browned meat in a casserole dish; season with salt and pepper. Top with rice mixture; cover. Bake at 325 for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Uncover; top with remaining cheese and onions. Continue to bake, uncovered, until cheese melts. Serves 6-8
