BROWNIE PUDDING

1/2 cup flour
1 tsp balking powder
1/2 tsp salt and sugar
1 tbsp unsweetened coco powder
1 tbsp shortening, melted
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp unsweetened coco powder
1 cup boiling water

Preheat oven to 350. In a medium bowl, combine first 5 ingredients. Stir in next 3 ingredients until smooth. Fold in nuts. Spread mixture in a 1 quart baking dish. Stir together remaining ingredients and carefully pour over pudding mixture in baking dish. Bake for 30-45 minutes, until set.
