CREAMSICLE PIE

Category: Pies - Cream and Custard

1 deep dish pie shell, baked
1 pkg (3 oz) orange flavored gelatin
2/3 cup boiling orange juice
1 cup vanilla ice cream softened
1 can (11 oz) mandarin oranges, drained
1 cup Cool Whip Whipped Topping, thawed

Dissolve gelatin in boiling orange juice. Add ice cream by spoonfuls mixing until dissolved then chill until slightly thickened. Stir in mandarin oranges and fold in whipped topping. Pour into pie shell then freeze until firm (about 2 hours). Remove from freezer about 15 minutes before serving. Top with a spoonful of cool whip and a mandarin slice.
