*BAKED BRISKET* - Easy

4 1/2 lb beef brisket
1 (1 oz) envelope dry onion soup mix
1 (10 oz) can diced tomatoes and green chilies
1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
Garlic powder, to taste

Preheat oven to 325. Place brisket in a baking dish. In a bowl, combine remaining ingredients and pour over brisket. Loosely cover with foil bake for 3 hours. Allow to rest at least 30 minutes before slicing across the grain.
