CHOCOLATE CREAM CHEESE BROWNIES

1/4 lb sweet cooking chocolate
5 tbsp butter
3 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
Flour
1 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp salt and baking powder
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1/4 tsp almond extract
Preheat oven to 350. Melt chocolate with 1 tbsp butter; cool. Cream remaining butter with cream cheese and gradually add 1/4 cup sugar. Blend in 1 egg, 1 tbsp flour and 1/4 tsp vanilla extract; set aside.
Beat remaining eggs until thick add remaining sugar, 1/2 cup flour, salt and baking powder. Blend in chocolate, nuts and remaining vanilla extract and almond extract. Measure 1 cup batter and reserve. Spread remaining batter in greased 9 inch square baking pan. Top with cream cheese mixture. Drop reserved batter from tablespoon onto cheese mixture. Swirl to marble. Bake for 35-40 minutes.
