MARINADE FOR GRILLED SALMON
Category: Marinades
1/2 cup oil (use either vegetable or canola or peanut oil)
1 tsp sesame oil
3 tbsp lime juice or lemon juice
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar and soy sauce
1 1/2 tbsp brown sugar and ground ginger powder
3/4 tsp paprika
Pinch cayenne pepper or crushed chili flakes
6 garlic cloves, finely chopped
4 green onions, chopped
Ground black pepper, to taste
In a large bowl whisk together the first 9 ingredients until very well blended. Mix in the garlic and green onions then season with black pepper. Pour over salmon. Cover and refrigerate for 8-24 hours turning the salmon in the marinade a few times during chilling. Remove the salmon and discard marinade. Grill salmon over medium-high heat for about 4 minutes per side depending on the thickness of salmon cooking time may vary slightly.
