BACON CHEESE MASHED POTATOES

4 baking potatoes, peeled and cut into 1 inch pieces
1 3/4 tsp salt
1/3 cup heavy cre3am
4 tbsp butter
1/4 tsp pepper
8 slices bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
1/2 lb sharp cheddar cheese, grated
1/4 cup sour cream and chopped fresh chives
Pepper

Boil potatoes with 1 tsp salt until fork tender. Drain and return to pan. Add cream butter and remaining salt and pepper. Place in pan over medium low heat and mash to incorporate ingredients. Add remaining ingredients and stir until combined. Season to taste.
