FINGER LICKIN WINGS

3 lbs chicken wings, split and dejointed
1 cup sugar
3 tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp pepper
3/4 cup water
1/3 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup soy sauce

Preheat oven to 400. Place chicken wings in a singly layer on rack in broiler pan and bake for 20 minutes, turning once.

In a saucepan, combine remaining ingredients and cook, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and bubbles, about 3 minutes.

After wings have baked for 30 minutes, brush with soy sauce mixture and continue to bake. Serve.
