ANGEL FRESH STRAWBERRY CAKE

1 angel food cake
1-2 quarts strawberries, stemmed and sliced
Sugar, to taste
3 tbsp brandy
Lemon buttercream frosting

Cut cake into three layers; set aside. Place strawberries in a bowl; adding brandy and sugar. Mix slightly. Slightly mash strawberries very lightly. Arrange bottom layer of cake on serving plate. Spoon one-third of strawberries over top of bottom layer, spreading evenly.

Repeat with second layer of cake and strawberries and to with remaining cake layer. Frost top and sides is frosting. Garnish top with and remaining strawberries.
