PEACHES N CREAM PIE

1 1/2 cups vanilla wafers crumbs
1/3 cup butter, melted
3/4 cup boiling water
1 pkg. orange flavored jello
2 cups ice
1 1/2 cups frozen whipped topping, thawed
2 large fresh peaches, peeled and cut into cubes
Mix together wafer crumbs and melted butter. Press crumb mixture onto bottom and side of a 9-inch pie plate. Stir boiling water into dry gelatin; mix until completely dissolved. Add ice cubes to gelatin. Stir until gelatin begins to thicken. If any ice pieces remain unmelted, remove. Stir whipped topping into gelatin mixture until well blended. Add chopped peaches. Refrigerate for about 20 minutes, then spoon thickened mixture into prepared crust. Refrigerate for an additional 3 hours.
