BARBECUED COUNTRY-STYLE RIBS- Crock Pot

4 lbs bone-in country-style ribs
2 tsp salt, divided
1 medium onion, chopped
1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar, apple butter and ketchup
1/2 cup lemon and orange juices
1 tbsp steak sauce
1 tsp coarsely ground black pepper and minced garlic
1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Cut ribs apart, if necessary, and trim; sprinkle 1 tsp salt evenly over ribs and set aside. Stir together remaining 1 tsp salt, chopped onion and remaining 9 ingredients until blended. Pour half the mixture into a slow cooker. Add ribs and pour remaining sauce over ribs. Cover and cook on high 6-7 hours. Serves 6-8
