CARAMEL APPLE FRENCH TOAST

1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
2 tbsp corn syrup and maple syrup
1 granny smith apple, peeled and sliced 1/4 inch thick
6 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 cups milk
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp salt
12 slices bread
Combine first 4 ingredients in a small saucepan. Cook until thickened, stirring occasionally. Place apple slices on bottom of a 13x9 inch baking dish.
Pour syrup mixture over apples. Place 6 slices bread on top of syrup. Combine eggs and next 3 ingredients. Mix and pour half of mixture over bread. Place remaining bread on top and pour rest of egg mixture on bread. Chill overnight in refrigerator. Bake, uncovered, at 350 for 40-45 minutes.
