BAKED STEAK DELUXE

2 lbs round or Swiss steak
3 tbsp shortening
1 can tomato soup
1 can beef gravy
1/2 soup can water
1 tsp prepared mustard
1/2 tsp chili powder
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 sliced onion

Pound seasoned flour into steak and cut into serving pieces; brown. Mix together next 5 ingredients. Remove browned steak and place in a covered shallow casserole dish. Top onion slices between layers. Pour sauce over meat. Bake at 300 for 2 to 2 1/2 hours or until tender.
