BAKED PORK CHOPS IN SOUR CREAM

Category: Pork - Chops and Steaks

4 pork chops, 3/4 - 1 inch thick and trimmed of fat
2 tbsp vegetable oil and butter
1/2 cup sour cream
1 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp vinegar
1/2 cup water
Salt and pepper, to taste

Season the chops with salt and pepper; fry in a skillet with the butter and oil until brown. Mix together next 3 ingredients and pour over chops. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and gently simmer about 1 1/4 hours or until chops are tender. Add sour cream and heat to just under boil.
