6 ripe bananas, peeled, sliced lengthwise and quartered
1 tbsp lemon juice
3/4 cup butter
1 1/2 cups firmly packed dark brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 cup banana flavored liqueur
1/2 cup dark rum
Vanilla ice cream

Place bananas in a large bowl, sprinkle with lemon juice, set aside. Melt butter in a chafing dish or a small skillet. Add sugar and cinnamon, cook over medium heat until bubbly. Add bananas; heat 3-4 minutes, basting constantly with syrup. Pour banana-flavored liqueur over bananas, stirring well. Place rum in a small long-handled pan; heat just until warm. Remove form heat; ignite and pour over bananas. Baste bananas with sauce until flames die down. Serve immediately over ice cream. Serves 8
