3-BEAN CHILI BEANS

3 tbsp olive oil
1 cup onion, chopped
1 green bell pepper, coarsely chopped
1/2 cup dry red wine
1 (14.5 oz) can whole tomatoes, broken up
1 (15 oz) can black beans, red kidney beans and white northern or pinto beans, drained and rinsed
Spice blend
4 tsp chili powder
1 tsp garlic powder, ground cumin, oregano and basil
1/2 tsp seasoned pepper
2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
Heat oil in a pan. Saute vegetables for 5 minutes, stirring often. Stir in spice blend and remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Garnish with shredded sharp cheddar cheese and chopped onion.
