ITALIAN SEAFOOD AU GRATIN

2 tbsp butter
1 cup sliced fresh green onions
12 oz imitation crabmeat, thawed
1 cup grated parmesan cheese
2 cups sliced mushrooms
1 (1 oz) packet white sauce mix
1 tsp minced garlic
1/4 tsp pepper
1 cup milk

Grease an 8x8 inch baking dish. Melt butter in a skillet over high heat. Add green onions, mushrooms and garlic. Cook, stirring occasionally, 2-3 minutes, until softened. Reduce heat to medium; stir in dry sauce mix. Add milk and stir until boiling. Add crabmeat and cook 1-2 minutes, breaking up any large chunks, until heated through. Stir in 3/4 cup parmesan cheese and pepper until blended. Spoon crab mixture into prepared baking dish; sprinkle with remaining parmesan cheese. Broil 1 minute until top is golden brown.
