CHEESY CREAMED SPINACH

2 (10 oz) pkg frozen chopped spinach, cooked according to package directions, reserving 1/2 cup liquid
4 tbsp butter
2 tbsp flour
2 tbsp chopped onion
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup reserved spinach liquid
1/2 tsp pepper
3/4 tsp celery salt and garlic powder, or to taste
1 (6 oz) roll jalapeno cheese, cut into small pieces
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Red pepper, to taste
Buttered bread crumbs

While spinach is cooking, melt butter in a saucepan and add flour, stirring until blended and smooth, but do not brown. Add onion and cook until soft, but not brown. Slowly add liquid, stirring constantly to avoild clumping. Cook until smooth and thick; continue stirring. Add seasonings and cheese. Stir until cheese is melted. Combine with cooked spinach. Spoon into a greased casserole dish and to with bread crumbs. Bake until bubbly and top is browned.
