SWISS ONION BREAD RING

2 1/2 tsp poppy seeds, divided
1 tube refrigerated bread dough
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
3/4 cup sliced green onions
1/4 cup melted butter

Sprinkle 1/2 tsp poppy seeds in a greased 10 inch tube pan. Cut the dough into 20 (1 inch) pieces and place half in the pan. Sprinkle with half the cheese and onions. Top with 1 tsp poppy seeds; drizzle with half the butter. Repeat layers. Bake at 375 for 25 minutes or until golden brown. Immediately invert onto a wire rack. Serve warm.
