TURTLE CHEESECAKE BROWNIES

1 cup butter
4 oz unsweetened baking chocolate, chopped
2 1/4 cups sugar
4 eggs, lightly beaten
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup plus 2 tbsp flour
1 cup coarsely chopped pecans
2 (3 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
2 tbsp flour
2 eggs
1 (12.25 oz) caramel-flavored topping

Preheat oven to 350. Melt butter and chocolate in saucepan over low heat. Let cool. Stir sugar, 2ggs, flour and pecans into chocolate batter until blended after each addition. Spread half of batter into 13x9 inch baking dish. IN another bowl, beat cream cheese at medium speed for 1 minute. Add remaining ingredients and beat until smooth. Pour over chocolate batter in pan. Drop remaining batter, 1/4 cup at a time, over cream cheese batter and swirl gently with the tip of the knife. Bake for 50 minutes (47 minutes for chewy brownies) or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan. Cool in pan on wire rack. Cut into 2 inch squares. Store in airtight container.
